November 1 - Glenna Nielsen-Grimm

Join us on Saturday, November 1, to paint this beautiful floral design. Glenna has created her painting on a shallow oval wood bowl. You will furnish your own surface to paint on. The painting surface needs to be at least 6 1/2 X 11 inches. This will be fun to see all of the different pieces that this design will adorn. Be sure your piece has been base coated in a dark value. Glenna painted hers on a black background.

October Meeting

We will be hosting Vicki Rhodes on Friday Oct 3, 2008 (4 - 9 p.m.) and all day Saturday Oct 4, 2008. This Halloween plate will put you in the mood for Halloween! This sassy witch is boiling up her brew to share with all the goblins and ghosts that will be filling the October nights. Friday evening she will be teaching a Halloween or Christmas design on a small hand held lantern. This is a great little safety item for all of your little ones as they go Trick-or-Treating on Oct. 31!

UGHA's New Meeting Place

We have a new place to meet! Glenna Nielsen has built a wonderful, beautiful, awesome art studio in her back yard and has agreed to let us meet there once a month.

The address is: 5145 South 2100 East. The easiest way to get there is find the best way to Cottonwood Mall from your home. You will travel 0.6 miles South of Cottonwood Mall. Turn East (left) on Donelson and travel 0.2 miles to 2100 East. Turn North (left) to 5145. There is a church near Glenna's home. Please feel free to park in the church parking lot.
