We had a blast at our annual Christmas party hope you were there to enjoy it. We had an ornament exchange and we did the exchange buy drawing and trading. I thought Loraine was never going to end up with something! It was a riot. What a fun group.

October's Meeting was a lot of fun. We painted the cat and the moon, with Marilyn Healy, she is such a delightful person, and she was graceful enough to run for President elect. She will be a great president. I even came home and finished mine. Remember to come to our November meeting at Glenna's we will be painting a cute xmas project with Judy Graham. Picture will follow. And also don't forget to sign up for our annual Christmas Party; Dec. 4 at Archibalds.

What a fun project we did with Glenna, the witches plate. Sorry if you missed it. I am still working on mine, but I plan to get it done.

Opening Social

Sorry I have been neglecting the blog. I have been down in Yuma, Arizona, for the past two months taking care of my 92 year old Dad, who passed away on August 3rd. It's been a really rough time for me, as many of you know who have gone through this. He was a brave and wonderful man and I miss him terribly. I didn't think about having someone else fill in for me. I hope you all understand. I did go to the opening social on the 25th of August with some prompting of some very good friends. It was held at Lisa Peck's beautiful house. For those who weren't there we had some excellent food and Vicki Rhodes came down with her trailer filled with all kinds of treasures for us to purchase from her shop she has up in Tremonton. Our next project will be this wonderfull piece by Bobby Takashima. The pattern is $12.00 and the plate I believe is $16.00. It will be taught by Glenna on Saturday September 25th, you can still sign up.

May's Meeting

I hope you got to attend our last meeting. We got to finish our teapots with Larae and then we had a wonderful tea party to celebrate. The final sign up for retreat was done. What a spread we had thanks to Kay Salisbury, she really knows how to through a tea party! Wow!

Hey, everyone, it's tea time. Get your old Silver teapots out and get them prepared for Larae's class on April 17th at 9:30 am at Glenna's studio. What a great way to recycle and add some beauty to our spring. I understand there is a big marathon going on so some of the streets will be blocked off. They are saying the easiest way to come is to go on 7th East, up 45th South to Highland Dr. and then head South to Glenna's.
We will be having a display of the retreat pieces and sign ups, so you don't want to miss this one. I will be posting the picture's of the pieces as soon as I get them at the meeting. Hope to see you there.

Sorry I have been such a slacker this month. We had our February meeting on Saturday February 20th. We had what we call a UFO meeting, meaning to bring unfinished projects to work on. Lisa are president had her daughter who just finished chef school, cater us lunch. For you that couldn't make it, I am truly sorry, if was wonderful. Thanks to Lisa and her daughter for such an treat. I left right after the meeting for the Las Vegas creative painting convention and I just got back.

Above is a picture of next month's project. This is so darling, Jolynn will be teaching these cute bunnies. You are to bring something to paint it on, and if you want the same cute box Jolynn painted it on , they have them at Micheals for $3.99 I think.

Welcome to March that is coming in like a lamb. I am sitting here in my office looking out at the sunshine and feeling really ready for Spring to be here! We are doing a really fun, Spring project in March. JoLynn is teaching the Helen Barrick design of, “Here Comes Peter Cottontail.” Looking at this project just makes you think Spring! The base coating patterns are available from Pat if you still need one. We will see you on the 20^th for this project. If you can’t make it to paint, at least stop by to say Hi and pick up a schedule and see what is new. Marilyn Healy

More January Events

Here we are with Hazel painting the JoSonja's rooster tin. It was alot of fun and she is teaching a whole series of them, on the first Tuesday of every month. The next one will be February 2nd at 6:3o pm , at Glenna's studio.





Guess who is having her 90th birthday? Eleanor Zimmerman, for those who haven't had the wonderful opportunity to meet her. Yes she was the Lady behind Zim's craft store, that is now closed. I sure miss it. And for those who were lucky enough to take classes from her , you know what a wonderful and talented lady she is. She has given so much to our guild. When we went to this birthday party. we sure let her know how much we love and appreciate her.
